Joe McNally is without a doubt one of my top 10 favorite photographers. I can only dream of being as talented. His book, The Moment It Clicks, is one of the best photography books I have read. It’s not a book meant to teach you photography, it’s a book meant to inspire you to become a better photographer and to go with the flow and how to use your imagination to get the shot. One of my favorite stories is his attempts at photographing the changing of the lightbulb atop the Empire State Building in NYC. It’s one of his most famous shots.
