On Top of the World

Joe McNally is with­out a doubt one of my top 10 favorite pho­tog­ra­phers. I can only dream of being as tal­ented. His book, The Moment It Clicks, is one of the best pho­tog­ra­phy books I have read. It’s not a book meant to teach you pho­tog­ra­phy, it’s a book meant to inspire you to become a bet­ter pho­tog­ra­pher and to go with the flow and how to use your imag­i­na­tion to get the shot. One of my favorite sto­ries is his attempts at pho­tograph­ing the chang­ing of the light­bulb atop the Empire State Build­ing in NYC. It’s one of his most famous shots.
